Genital warts is a disease that can develop in areas other than the genital region. As it is very contagious, it can appear in the mouth and throat when you have vaginal, oral or anal intercourse with an infected person. It is possible to remove genital warts; however, its virus remains in your system forever as there is no actual cure available for the disease.
It is because genital warts spreads from touch that it is found in the mouth. In fact, sometimes genital warts mouth can even spread down to the throat. Though the condition is so contagious, you will not know you are suffering from genital warts for nearly nine months of catching it.
There are some symptoms you have to be careful about, and give you a reason to visit your doctor. They are bleeding in the mouth or throat, pain in the mouth, difficulty in swallowing and if you feel strange growths and bumps in your mouth or throat. Even if you have had sex with a person who later informs you that he or she is suffering from genital warts, it is better to get tested immediately.
It is always better to treat your genital warts mouth condition as soon as possible, even though there is always the chance of these warts remaining. The reason genital warts tend to return even after treatment is because its treatment attacks only the warts and not the virus. The virus HPV remains in the body, and can erupt anytime.
